Do you check my credit history when I apply for a Varo Bank Account?

No, we don't check your credit history when you apply for a Varo Bank Account, so applying will not affect your credit score. However, if you wanted to apply for a Varo Backup Line, we would check your credit report. If you apply for a Varo Personal Loan, your credit report will be pulled.

Yes, as part of the registration process you need to apply for a Varo Bank Account. The Varo Bank Account is a central part of what makes Varo great and we want to make sure you get the most out of your experience.

When I sign up for the app, am I applying for a Varo Bank Account?

Yes! When you sign up for Varo, you apply for a Varo Bank Account. The bank account comes with a Varo Visa® Debit Card and is FDIC insured through our partner bank, The Bancorp Bank; Member FDIC.

How do I setup my Varo card?

Your Varo Visa Debit Card is sent out automatically after your Varo Bank Account is approved and will arrive within 7-10 business days. If you haven't recevied your Varo Debit Card within that timeframe, just give us a call at 1-800-VARO526, Monday-Friday: 9AM - 6 PM PST.
